I see Slovenia as a successful young country with extraordinary natural features and a strategic position, on which the transition to democracy has left deep wounds, as expected.

Nevertheless, I remain an optimist. I had no guarantees of success in my sports career. I just really believed in it, like I believe in Slovenia and the people who live here.
